Position Summary
The Director of Development and Fundraising is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing strategies that attract, retain, and support programs participating in the National Stomp and Shake Cheerleading Federation (NSASCF). This role leads membership growth initiatives, oversees fundraising efforts, and collaborates across departments to strengthen the Federation’s financial sustainability and national footprint. The Director uses data‑driven insights, strategic outreach, and relationship‑building to expand participation and enhance the overall member experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Membership Growth & Retention Strategy
Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to attract new programs and retain existing National Stomp and Shake Cheerleading Federation (NSASCF) participants.
Identify barriers to membership and create solutions to improve accessibility and engagement.
Monitor membership trends and adjust strategies to support long‑term growth.
Ensure all membership initiatives align with the National Stomp and Shake Cheerleading Federation’s (NSASCF) mission, values, and cultural stewardship.
2. Collaboration with Director of Community Engagement
Work closely with the Director of Community Engagement to design outreach campaigns targeting new schools, programs, and regions.
Support the development of partnerships that expand the National Stomp and Shake Cheerleading Federation (NSASCF) presence and visibility.
Assist in planning promotional activities, community events, and recruitment initiatives.
Share membership data and insights to guide community engagement strategies.
3. Marketing & Communications Collaboration
Partner with the Marketing & Social Media Chair to develop effective communication strategies for member recruitment and engagement.
Create or support the creation of marketing materials, digital content, and promotional campaigns.
Ensure messaging is consistent, culturally aligned, and reflective of the National Stomp and Shake Cheerleading Federation (NSASCF) branding standards.
Utilize social media, newsletters, and digital platforms to promote membership benefits and opportunities.
4. Fundraising & Revenue Development
Develop and implement fundraising strategies that support the National Stomp and Shake Cheerleading Federation (NSASCF) programs, events, and long‑term sustainability.
Identify and pursue sponsorships, grants, partnerships, and donor opportunities.
Create fundraising campaigns that engage the community and highlight the impact of National Stomp and Shake Cheerleading Federation (NSASCF).
Maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding partners.
5. Financial Coordination & Membership Management
Coordinate with the Executive Board Treasurer to manage membership fees, invoicing, and financial reporting.
Ensure accurate tracking of membership payments, renewals, and financial records.
Provide regular updates to leadership on membership revenue and fundraising progress.
Support the development of financial projections related to membership growth.
6. Data‑Driven Insights & Program Improvement
Collaborate with the Marketing & Social Media Chair to analyze membership data and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
Use data insights to refine recruitment strategies, improve member satisfaction, and enhance program offerings.
Prepare quarterly reports summarizing membership performance and strategic recommendations.
Maintain accurate membership databases and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
Experience in fundraising, membership development, nonprofit management, or sports administration.
Strong communication, relationship‑building, and strategic planning skills.
Experience working with schools, athletic programs, or youth organizations (preferred).
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Knowledge of Stomp & Shake® culture and community (preferred but not required).
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
